Valley Queen 2016 cARTel Outdoor stage

Valley Queen is a hybrid of southern rock and Motown, with traces of 1970s canyon rock. Front woman Natalie Carol has the pipes of Florence Welch and Jenny Lewis and the band’s vibe is reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac with touches of Nels Cline guitar work. Over the past year, Valley Queen has played lauded shows at the Echo Park Rising Festival in Los Angeles, the CMJ Music Marathon in NYC and a jam-packed run at SXSW in Austin. They were chosen as 2015 Los Angeles winners in the Converse Rubber Tracks contest and were rewarded with free, sponsored studio time at The Fortress.
