David May 2014 Brownies & Lemonade stage

David May is a Southern California-based rapper who has spent the last few years making a name for himself in the independent hip-hop circuit.May, born David Mayhall, began to gain attention with the release of his debut project, The Lifestyle of a Dream Chaser in 2012 via his former label, Black Cloud Music. He released the singles, “Strawberry Lemonade” and “Intergalatic Hangover (ft. Noa James)” as well as a remix that featured fellow Southern California emcee, Stevie Crooks. Between then and now, David May had the pleasure of gaining new fans by opening for notable artists such as Pac Div and Curren$y and joining his label mates on The Road To Paid Dues Tour 2013 with Fashawn, Prof and Murs, which was a 2 month long national tour, leading up to hosting a stage at the premiere independent hip-hop festival that same year. Citing a desire to pursue his musical aspirations on his own, David May left Black Cloud Music in January 2014. David May wasted no time in taking lead of his own career and released his EP Video 94 (produced entirely by Gunnah) and is working on new visuals for the EP in addition to the creation of a full length album.
